Healthy target mix by tier

These percentages set the "healthy target" each role is compared against. They're starting points — if your view differs, change them here and every tab recalculates. Each tier should add to 100%.

These are illustrative defaults to react to, not rules. Adjust to fit how Abonmarche actually expects each tier to spend its time.

What this is

Every role is really a stack of five different kinds of work. We usually picture a role by its visible, billable output — but the role also quietly demands direction-setting, managing people, and coordinating. This tool puts honest hours behind each layer, adds them up, and checks one thing: does the total fit inside a sustainable week? When it doesn't, the role as drawn is impossible — and that's the case for redesigning it, not for asking someone to try harder.

Reading the overall result

Under 100%The week can hold the role.
100–115%At the edge — running hot, with little slack.
Over 115%The role asks for more than a week holds. Something is being dropped.
Under 70%Underused — there may be room to take on more, or to grow the role.

Reading the layer bars

Each layer is compared against the healthy target mix for the role's tier. The chip on the right tells you whether that specific layer is in balance — independent of the overall capacity reading.

On targetThis layer is within 20% of its healthy share — the mix looks right.
Below targetThis layer is getting fewer hours than the healthy mix calls for. The work is there — it just isn't getting enough room in the week.
Over — push downThis layer is consuming more than its healthy share and crowding out the others.
More than expectedHours are showing up here even though the tier targets near-zero for this layer — worth examining whether that work belongs in this role.

How to use it

  1. Pick the role's tier — it sets a healthy target mix to compare against.
  2. Set a sustainable weekly hours figure (the hours this role can give week after week, not a crunch week).
  3. Slide each layer to the hours the role truly needs.
  4. Read the meter and the by-layer bars: where it's over capacity, and which layers to push down or protect.
  5. Use + Add to Team Snapshot to send a role to the team view, and Save a Copy to Keep to download your work as a file.
